I had a big birthday challenge this year. My kids (two girls and one boy) were turning 5 and 7 and I decided to do a combined party. But I needed to find a theme and entertainer that would be suitable for two different age groups as well as keep both boys and girls entertained.

My kids were a bit bored with the usual superhero character entertainer and my son pulled a crazy face when my girls suggested a fairy. So I needed something that excited all of them. Dancing and Singing! They all love being superstars and there’s no better team to get the party dancing up a storm, than Bop Till You Drop!

I loved that each kid had a chance to sing at the microphone and feel special in the spotlight. Our entertainer taught the children some awesome dance moves and the kids had a blast letting loose and bopping away.

One of the best bits about having Bop Till You Drop at our party was that they took care of everything. I just needed to provide the venue and the food and they did everything else. The entertainers kept every kid engaged for the full two hours of our party. Which meant that the parents could just relax with a sneaky glass of wine. I actually got to chat to grown-ups while the kids were having fun – that’s never happened before!

3) Different Themes and Combo Parties

Bop Till You Drop recently expanded their offering to include science, slime, craft, sport and frozen themed disco’s. We actually decided to opt for a sports and disco combo party. My kids love being active so it was perfect to get the party going with some fun obstacle courses, parachute games, relays and tee-ball. After the sports, we had an ice-block break before the disco dancing got going.

The combo parties are really the best of both worlds – I love the idea of a science + disco party or the photo booth + disco party and my girls would love the pamper + disco party.
