Do I need to provide anything for the entertainer?
As a condition of booking our slime incursions, you must have at least 3 educators available to assist on the day. We find the kids often need help with stirring the ingredients, particularly the last ingredient which can get sticky and hard to stir. The entertainer will need assistance with this as there are so many kids and only one entertainer. Please let us know if this is not possible otherwise it is an additional $220 for an additional entertainer to assist. Also the entertainer will need a table to conduct the slime-making on (big enough or multiple tables for the kids too). No chairs are required. We also recommend table cloths to protect the tables.
We have a mixed group of both girls and boys, will they all be engaged throughout the slime incursion?
Yes, definitely. The great thing about slime is that boys and girls of all ages love it (including some of us adults too!). All of our entertainers have undergone an extensive training program, some are even studying child care or have child care qualifications so we know exactly how to keep their attention and keep the kids focused.
Can the incursion be completed outdoors?
Our Slime Incursions can be held indoors our outdoors. However, we do find children tend to get easily distracted in big open spaces. If you really want to have your event outdoors all the children need to wear hats, sunscreen and have regular drink breaks.
What time will the entertainer arrive?
Your entertainer will arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time of your slime incursion. If you have booked the Disco add-on they will arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time (this is with an allocated car spot within 20 metres from the disco).
When do the children have a drink or food break?
For our 1hr Incursions we tend not to do a break as the kids will last the entire way. However if they need a drink they are of course welcome to. Keep in mind if you choose the disco add-on we do a clear 15 break in the middle of the incursion (after the slime). Please let us know if this is not suitable for your event.
Are the entertainers ‘screened’?
Yes all the staff and entertainers of Bop till you Drop have been approved by the ‘Working with Children Check’.
Do I need to provide a parking spot for the entertainer?
Yes. Your entertainer will need an allocated parking spot as close to your venue as possible. There is a lot of heavy equipment to unload (and reload) and we want the disco to run as smoothly as possible and on time. Please note you will need to pay for parking should free parking not be available. Also, please ensure you give the office clear directions on exactly where your venue is located.
What if someone hurts themselves, are you insured?
Bop till you Drop has $20 million dollars Public Liability Insurance.
