A Very Hungry Caterpillar brings back childhood memories for me, and when I had children I was pleasantly surprised to see the book is still a favourite of children 20 plus years later.
We recently received a request to source some Australian vendors for ideas for A Very Hungry Caterpillar themed party. We took up the challenge as we love when customers and fellow business owners suggest ideas to us.
A themed invitation always sets the tone for any party and these cute A Very Hungry Caterpillar invitations by Design Mumma would sure be well received by invitees.
This book is full of colour so incorporating lots of primary colours is a must. Here’s a themed bunting idea by Little Miss Charlie. 
Or if you prefer balloons why not create a caterpillar one like this idea from My Chocolate Moments blog.
What’s pretty cool about this book is it makes references to food, so why not incorporate all or some of the foods mention in the book such as apples, strawberries, cupcake, orange, cheese, and watermelon.

You don’t need to order expensive cupcakes, why not make your own or purchase ones from one of the big grocery chains then attach some A Very Hungry Caterpillar themed toppers to make them look expensive, like these from Deb Sweet Toppers. 
How about some themed cookies like the ones Cookie Queen Kitschn makes?
Of course, you can’t forget a themed cake and there are so many designs out there. Here are a few we think are pretty cool.

We had Bop till you drop for a 2 Hour Science party for my Daughter’s 8th B’day party. They are super easy to communicate with and can get you all setup very quickly. The host arrived on time and was very engaging. The Kids did not move from their seats for the entire duration. Definitely recommend getting them to lift up your b’day parties.
